Here is a gorgeous special offer from Clinique to score a little somethin' somethin' while
you're stocking up on essentials.
I am exhausted today from my 8am class and also because I spent about 3 hours shopping
at TJ Maxx. I was getting a little curious after seeing all those commercials, and although
I wasn't blown away by anything, it was a good shopping trip overall. I managed to get
some basics on sale like t-shirts and undies, and I got the sassiest interview outfit for my
hopefully upcoming internship interview!
Expect a post on interview attire soon! I always get so stressed about interviews. I don't
know how much of my personal style I should project when I'm going on an interview or
if I should just keep it cool and professional. Today I found myself wondering if neon pumps
might be appropriate, so obviously I need a little guidance! If you absolutely can't wait go
to WhoWhatWear.com for style advice on any occasion!
Have an amazing weekend,
love iCandy

Something good and something just ok
During the bath and body works sale I purchased Patricia Wexler Fastscription™ Instant De-Puff Eye Gel, $19.50 Bathandbodyworks.com. A multiple award-winning product, I had very high hopes for this little gel. To my surprise (and delight!) it really delivered. I had a few rough nights which resulted in puffy and droopy eyes, and after applying the gel under my eyes and along my brow bone (very lightly) my eyes were instantly brightened and I looked ten times more awake and alert.

How to clean a Kabuki Brush and...more mascara!

After realizing that I had never, not once cleaned any of my make-up brushes, I bought Clinique's Makeup Brush Cleanser ($12.50 for 8 oz) from Sephora. It worked great on my angled eye-liner brush and my eye shadow brush, but when it came to my kabuki brush, I have to admit I was stumped.
So, after some investigating I found an article at ehow.com about Cleaning those darned Kabuki brushes. It turns out that they can be cleaned just like any other brush, you just have to be a little more delicate so that the brush maintains its shape, and you should let it dry standing up for best results.
Once I figured that out, I found myself once again at my local CVS in need of paper goods (paper towels, toilet
paper), but as I walked down the beauty aisle (they would make you walk through all the good stuff to get to the things you need) I noticed L'Oreal's New Extra Volume Collagen Mascara ($7.99). Obviously, I had to try it. But, in my haste I didn't notice that I had picked up Brown Black instead of Black or even better, Blackest Black until I opened the package to use it the next morning. But, color aside, the brush is huge, and it really does give my lashes tons of volume (so far I have experienced zero clumping and no spikiness, hooray!). Although it doesn't beat out my current fave (Benefit's BADgal Lash) it comes very very close and it is definitely a bargain at under $10. I will definitely go back and buy it in Blackest Black!
Dying to get dolled up? Go to Sephora's Weekly Specials page and check out the special deals and samples going on to make sure you don't miss out.
love,
iCandy
