My first eyeliner was a jet black smudgy urban decay eyeliner pencil that I used every day on my lids, top and bottom. I was in seventh grade when I first started wearing eye-liner, which gives me about eight years of experience. Despite this fact, I'm usually very non-discerning when it comes to eyeliner. That all changed the moment I first used my tarte Emphaseyes High Definition Eye Pencil a few weeks ago. Never again will I settle for cheap drugstore liner that barely lasts through my morning commute!
There are so many great things about this eyeliner:
- The tiny tip which makes application precise and easy
- The twist-out dispenser, no sharpener needed
- Bold, saturated color (I got it in plum, a deep blue-toned purple that highlights brown & green eyes)
- It is super long-lasting and virtually smudge-free- this liner is perfect for defining eyes and emphasizing eye shape and color
- This liner is amazing for precise lines and definition, but is not for the smoky sultry bedroom look
- The formula is sensitive and nourishing, perfect for the inner rim of the eye (and you'll never get poked by the raggedy ends of your sharpened eye-pencil ever again!)
Even if you're an eyeliner newbie, this liner is thin enough that you'll be lining along your lash line with ease and creating a cat-eye like a pro in no time! If you have
blue eyes, go with the liner in
chocolate or just go for good-old-standby
black.
The more I hear of and try of
tarte Cosmetics, the more I love! Most of their products are chemical-free and contain skin nourishing ingredients, while also being environmentally conscious and friendly, and not to mention very high quality. I also love that they have pics on the site of what the product looks like on. I love that I can see the liner in action before I purchase it and can see proof that their concealer does what it claims to do. Go to the website and sign up for the tarte newsletter to get
20% off your next order (hopefully it will include the Emphaseyes High Definition Eye Pencil).
love,
iCandy
p.s.- I got this tip for turning a shiny face into a glowing, dewy compexion from Glamour's Beauty Newsletter, use cut up brown paper lunch bags or super absorbent starbucks napkins as blotting papers to absorb sweat and shine. Haven't tried it yet but I'll do anything to beat the end of summer California heat's mission to turn my face into a slip and slide!

Cool eye liner! Sounds like a must try for me. The brown paper napkin trick to blot oil really works. You don't have to use ones from Starbucks, any brown paper napkins should do.
